Daytime Emmys Recap: Most Awesome Moment

The 2008 Daytime Emmy Awards, from red carpet pre-show to the end of the ceremony, were four hours of crap. But there were a few awesome moments that shone through like beacons of light in a sea full of...sludge. Boring, Brian Frons produced sludge.

Is there a "I DVR'd it so I could watch the few moments of Liason I hear they played that are severely lacking on GH these days but other than that I'm not watching" vote?

I'm sorry, Jeanne Cooper wins? That's awesome? Maybe 20 years ago she should have won, but did she get it this year because she's old? Not a good enough reason in my book. She chewed up the scenery somethin' fierce this year, as did Tony Geary. Neither deserved the Emmy for their performances this time.

JC's acceptance speech was great...you know who she was talking to. It was great.

To me the most awesome moment - hands down - was Finola Hughes interviewing Tristan Rogers on the red carpet during the pre-show. He said Robert Scorpio is going to be on Night Shift this season, 2006 didn't happen, he's in touch with Robin, he knows she has HIV, and he's not a deadbeat dad! Best of all - he said this on a Brian Frons produced show so you know someone was screaming in Finola's little earpiece to cut him off but she let him go.
