A Photo Finish

So because I must come up with something to do to amuse myself while thinking about The Bold & the Beautiful, I am going to make an attempt to recap today's episode with as few words as possible (and it's totally not that hard to understand if you just scroll through because, trust me, if you missed today's episode it was just a re-juggled script from about 200 other episodes so you should be able to fill in the dots).

Guess what they were arguing about. Yeah.

 

Seriously, this just kept happening. No dialogue, just endless cutting back and forth between Kim Matula and Scott Clifton trying to fill the time with awkward, seductive looks.

 For real, it kept happening after they "finally" kissed. This triangle is about as hot as the Northeast right now.

 

 This is how Brooke follows up a romantic evening she set up for her sister and her husband. Throwing sexytime looks at said husband. You know, as you do.

 

New girl! Does this mean Dayzee gets a storyline? What's the over/under on it lasting more than a week and a half?

This show really makes me want to drink my weight in grain alcohol. B&B is likely responsible for a lot of fast-developing drinking problems, so perhaps now I understand the context of Bill's new "issue." Because what else can one do?

Louise, I think you're on to something; since they're apparently saving on the writing costs (by writing no more than one new storyline per year, and otherwise just recycling), maybe they should go all out and just eliminate any dialogues at all and just have the actors MIME the show--because it clearly can be done. I fully understood the entire episode just from those selected screen caps. (And you should get a commission from Brad Bell for coming up with the idea.)

(By the way, iteration number 3,647 in the Triangle of Death? Seriously? OK, last year Bradley's excuse was that he didn't know who among his cast was sticking around, so he built the show around the T.O.D. because he knew the three actors would be there for the duration. Well, all that has shaken out now, hasn't it? The cast is stable? So what's his excuse this time?)

Michael, nothing would give me greater joy than if they started miming the show. I mean... as a writer, I hate to see writers out of work. But my heart goes out to the daily scriptwriters and what it must feel like to keep just being assigned the same outline over and over and over again!

Dang, Kim Matula is a pretty girl.

So does the Bell guy and the rest of the writers just pick a script from 1996, change the names and then play Words with Friends or DrawSome for the rest of the day? Jebuzz.

This show is so mentally draining.

I am going to watch this episode because I LOVE Brooke/Bill. I mean, everything about it should be awful, but comparing the rest of the show to KKL & DD's chemistry is like comparing watching paint dry and dynamite! I don't even want them to go anywhere with it; I'm just happy to have them share scenes, because DAMN!!! (Also, I can't bear for Brooke to be the slut again, gawd!)

Ziyal, Steffy was actually alone in a hotel room in Paris in each of those shots. Mostly they just kept cutting back to her clutching her preggers belly and looking alternately sad/worried/angry. Riveting!

I ended up watching the episodes just to see how ridiculous it was, and gawd, is it ridiculous! HOWEVER, i am happy that at least for now Steffy doesn't want Liam to stay with her out of obligation. In the end, I hope she has a miscarriage because I really don't want the younger generation already having kids. Although she might have the baby and then they kill it.....i really hope not because then we would never hear the end of it!
