Casting News

If you are like Evil But Twinless and are majorly swoony for tiny men who never age and who repeatedly get treated like crap by the producers of shows they work for, you, too, will be thrilled to learn that Billy Warlock is making his way to Genoa City.

Let's ignore the fact that (a)the entire Senate race story is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever watched (b)since Jack is Y&R's character who can do nothing right, his campaign manager will go down in flames with him and I feel badly that Billy Warlock will have to go through that again and (c)it's getting creepy that he looks exactly like he did in 1987 and be just happy that he is once again on daytime. Yay!

Sabine Singh has been cast as the new Greenlee Smythe on All My Children and will start airing this month. She has no daytime experience, but I do remember her as Drue's girlfriend on the episode of Dawson's Creek when Joey lost her virginity to Pacey.

This will take some getting used to.

I mean, Greenlee hasn't been off canvas for that long and the idea of a recast is just...I just loved Rebecca Budig so much. Like, she is #3 on my list of celebrities that I need to go shopping and out for mojitos with (just behind Reese Witherspoon and Mandy Moore). I think she is awesome. By the end of her stint on the show, Rebecca Budig was basically the only thing I liked about Greens, because she is too cute and it was enough to overcome the fact that her character had become seriously demented and annoying due to the high amounts of Lavery in her atmosphere. And I was seriously in love with Greenlee and Leo. Seriously. So this is going to be weird for me.

On the other hand, at least she will not have to be part of the silly story that we all know is coming where Ryan is shocked by her return to Pine Valley and she starts to come between him and his large-lipped, charisma free fiancee. I'm bored of it already and it probably won't happen for another three weeks.

But the Kane-Montgomery's do need to go back to their glory days, and perhaps Greenlee will fill the void that's going to come when Bianca leaves again. With Zarf/Zoe. Sigh.

At least I won't have to put up with Zarf/Zoe's ridiculous accent and Babe worship, right? That's good. In a way.

The scariest part of that link is the last line: "Riegel and Carlson attended the GLAAD Media Awards in New York on Monday night and collected the Outstanding Daily Drama trophy for AMC". The fact that AMC got an award for Outstanding anything besides Outstanding(ly awful) is a tragedy of epic proportions.

You know me so well! I DO get majorly swoony for tiny men who never age and who repeatedly get treated like crap by the producers of shows they work for! You know I have found Billy Warlock hot since he was Frankie in the 80s. But I'm still not going to start watching Y&R. You're on your own.
