Well, nobody will be shocked at my doing back flips for Kassie DePaiva or Finola Hughes. Go, ladies! And actually Eastsiders and East Los High are my favorite online soaps, so this pleases me. (Should I be watching The Bay, I guess?? Do any of you recommend it if you've seen it?)

While the lack of a pre-nom is old news, I'm sure I'm not the only one irritated that Maya's storyline got a bunch of nominations for everyone other than Maya herself, Karla Mosley. And of course I'm psyched particularly for Babatunde and Horsford, who not only nailed their 2015 arcs in that storyline but also injected very necessary new life into B&B. I'm just disappointed that Mosley goes without acknowledgment as the person who anchored and championed that story.

And I guess this year they decided it would just be too mean to deliberately leave a single show out of the Outstanding Daytime Drama category, eh?

Also, NATAS has officially announced that the Daytime Emmys ceremony will not be broadcast on TV at all this year. Ouch. No word yet on whether or not they'll work up some sort of online broadcast like they did a couple years back.

I don't watch Y&R. Has Steve Burton's acting evolved beyond blink-nod-glower-blink?

Not that I'm not delighted, because I absolutely am and she totally deserves it, but how did Kassie dePaiva get nominated for OLTL? Their last (sob! still not over it!) show aired in 2013, right?

Also, not to derail Emmy talk, but MSCHICKLET! Are you the same MsChicklet who wrote that epic Jason-Morgan-was-only-Jason-Q's-coma-dream fanfic several years back? I was super into that story, I can't even tell you. Did you ever finish?

Yeah, the Karla Mosley snub looks even more nonsensical right now. I'll probably be rooting for Obba Babatunde to take guest actor but I wouldn't mind if Dee Wallace were to win.
